I got involved with Clitterhouse Farm project during my time on Furlough, we are a community-lead garden and cafe. In collaboration with the rest of the team I am trying to develop and expand the creative provision for the local area through models of cultural democracy.
For our first project we have received funding from Arts Council England to offer a series of community micro-commissions for local creatives to deliver workshops within the framework of a Fun Palace. I'll then curate a development programme for these creatives to develop sustainable community creativity in the local area.
I have also co-founded Glasshouse Theatre Company, a group of elders making theatre in support of their local community.
The company includes writers and performers who are working on their first sharing of work.
